Amazon Tablet License Expired

Fix License Expired Issue on Fire Tablets

Why is My Kid Edition Fire Tablet Apps Saying License Expired?

Fire Tablets need to contact Amazon from time to time to renew the licenses for apps. If you see the message "License Expired - The application license has expired" when trying to open an app, it means that the app's license has expired and needs to be refreshed.

Troubleshooting Steps:

  1. Connect to Wi-Fi: Make sure your Fire Tablet is connected to a stable Wi-Fi network.
  2. Open the App: Open the app that is displaying the license expired message while connected to Wi-Fi. This will trigger the license to refresh.
  3. Update the App: Go to the Amazon Appstore and check if there are any updates available for the app. If there are, install the updates.
  4. Update the OS: Go to Settings > Software Updates to check if there are any updates available for your Fire Tablet. If there are, install the updates.
  5. Sync the Tablet: Go to Settings > Accounts & Profiles > Sync to manually sync your Fire Tablet with Amazon.
